O2 E Voucher now available
2 November 2004

Following on from the success of Vodafone, 3, T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile, PayPoint are pleased to announce that it's retailers can now sell O2 E Vouchers through the PayPoint terminal.

E Voucher transactions are easy and straightforward. When a customer asks for a top-up the retailer accepts payment and either scans the E Voucher barcode for the relevant mobile network or uses their touch screen to access the payment scheme before entering the top-up amount requested and confirming the transaction.

The terminal prints out a receipt showing a PIN which is handed to the customer in place of a paper voucher.  Just as with a paper voucher, the customer then calls the telephone number shown and enters the PIN to access the phone credit purchased.

The great advantage that E Vouchers have over paper vouchers is that the PINS are generated by the terminal.  Retailers have no financial outlay, they can never run out of stock and have to turn customers away.  E Vouchers really are easier, risk free and more convenient for retailers and mobile phone customers.  And now that all participating mobile network E Voucher schemes are available through PayPoint, this a great time for retailers to stop selling paper vouchers and start selling E Vouchers instead.
